About

I own several hundred websites. Yours would be the one I answer the phone about.

I'm Zach Wennstedt. I started Eye To Ad Media in Denver in 2012, and denver-webdesign.com is our web design side. There's no account manager here and no team to be routed through. You talk to the person writing the code.

The short version

How I ended up doing this

I grew up in Boulder and I've spent my working life in the Denver metro. Eye To Ad Media started in 2012 doing search work for local businesses, and it grew into building the websites too — largely because we kept being handed sites that couldn't be made to rank no matter what we did to them.

That's still the core of it. A site built without search in mind has to be partly rebuilt before any of the marketing works, and the business owner ends up paying twice for the same thing. Doing both at once is cheaper and produces a better result, which is not a complicated insight but it's an unusual way to sell.

Alongside the agency I own and rank a portfolio of several hundred websites. My own domains, my own money, my own mistakes. It's not a credential I can frame, but it does mean I learned what makes a page get found by doing it a few hundred times rather than by reading somebody's course about it.

I also run a bath remodeling company. That one matters more than it sounds. I've been the local business owner watching a quiet phone and wondering whether the marketing money was doing anything at all. When a contractor describes that, I'm not sympathizing from a distance.

How we work

Five things that shape everything here

01

Prices go on the page

Every competitor we researched ends their pricing page with "book a call for a quote." Ours has numbers on it. If $99 a month doesn't work for you, you found that out in ten seconds instead of after two meetings.

02

We say no fairly often

If you need a Google Business Profile rather than a website, or a builder plan rather than a custom build, or an accountant rather than a web designer — that's what you'll hear. Talking somebody out of a purchase they don't need is a worse month for us and the reason people come back later with work that's worth doing.

03

Nothing on this site is invented

No stock photos of a team that doesn't exist, no fabricated case study numbers, no five-star testimonials from nobody. Where we cite market figures they come from published research and we say so. It's a low bar and a surprising number of sites don't clear it.

04

Static by default, everything else when it fits

Most business sites are faster, safer and cheaper as static HTML. But we build WordPress when you need to publish yourself, Shopify when you're genuinely selling, and apps when a browser truly can't do the job. The platform follows the problem.

05

Monthly, because it keeps us on the hook

A one-off invoice ends our involvement the day it clears. A monthly relationship means the site still has to be working in year two, and that changes how carefully it gets built in week one.

Being straight about it

What we're not, and who should hire somebody else

Every agency page claims to be right for everyone. Here's where we're genuinely the wrong choice.

You have a marketing department

Multiple stakeholders, a brand committee, coordinated campaigns across channels. That coordination is a real skill and a full agency does it properly. We would slow you down.

You need a large team available

Twelve people across four time zones on a deadline. We're small, which is why we're affordable and quick on small work, and why we're not the answer for big work.

You want a guarantee

Nobody controls Google's index. We can guarantee the work — fast, structured, indexed, written properly. We can't guarantee a ranking, and anyone who does is selling you something.

If you're a Denver business that needs the phone to ring and doesn't want to fund a marketing department to get there, that's exactly who this is built for.

The company

Who you're actually contracting with

denver-webdesign.com is the web design division of Eye To Ad Media, a Denver agency operating since 2012. Same people, same phone number, same office.

Eye To Ad Media handles the ongoing search side — content programmes, Google Business Profile management, link work and industry-specific SEO. This site handles the building.

We also run domain registration and hosting for clients who want everything in one place, and operate web design sites serving Colorado Springs and Monument.

Questions people ask before hiring us

Who will actually be working on my website?

Me. The design, the code and the search structure are the same person, which is the main structural difference between this and an agency. It means fewer misunderstandings and faster changes, and it also means we're not the right choice for very large projects.

How long have you been doing this?

Eye To Ad Media was founded in Denver in 2012 and has 60 reviews. I've been building and ranking websites the whole time, including a personal portfolio of several hundred domains that I own and operate myself.

Can I see examples of your work?

You're looking at one. Every page of this site is hand-coded, and you can view the source or run it through Google's PageSpeed Insights yourself. We'd rather be judged on something you can inspect than on a gallery of screenshots.

Do you work outside Denver?

Yes. The Denver metro is home and where most clients are, and we work across Colorado and out of state. Local knowledge matters most when your customers search with local intent — if you sell nationally, geography buys you very little.

What does it cost?

Custom-coded sites start at $99 a month with no setup fee. Drag-and-drop builder plans start at $5.99 a month. Ecommerce and apps are quoted per project. Full pricing is published rather than hidden behind a form.

Why should I trust a small operation over an agency?

Sometimes you shouldn't — see the section above about who should hire somebody else. Where a small shop wins is overhead and access: you're not funding an office and a sales team, and the person who understands your business is the person writing the code.

Fifteen minutes on the phone is usually enough

No discovery deck, no questionnaire, no pitch. Tell me what the business does and what you want the site to accomplish, and you'll get a straight answer about what's worth doing.
